Ramblings of an Old Kweer

Nothing like being black AND female to have your story forgotten. I was listening to a radio show this morning about all the killings and it seems to me the thing that is most frequently unmentioned is how complicit the media has been in not discussing police actions all through our history.

Until citizens began not only recording but distributing video footage, and then mobilizing nationally around specific cases, the media finally began talking about the issue as a widespread activity rather than reporting isolated incidents as if they weren't part of a larger pattern.
